Davies Paints Inc. started operations in 1982 under the company name Charter Chemical & Coating Corp., setting up its first manufacturing plant and main office in Philippiens Pasig City, Metro Manila. In 1990, the company started distribution of marine paints and heavy-duty coatings in the Philippines under Maincoat, Inc. as appointed by world-renowned Chugoku Marine Paint, Ltd., Japan’s No. 1 marine paint company.
Over the years, Davies has continuously innovated and produced numerous pioneering products: Biofresh+, the first local odorless and anti-bacterial paint; Clean Air, the first anti-formaldehyde paint; and Aqua Gloss-It, the first water-based quick drying enamel paint – all first in their respective categories in the country.
Today, Davies Paints is one of the leading premium paint brands in the Philippines, known and acknowledged to have the biggest color selection for ready-to-use paints. It is a brand recognized by architects, designers, engineers, painting contractors, and consumers for the excellent quality of their products.
With a distribution network currently at 1,200 strong, Davies products are available in most hardware stores, modern retail stores, and paint centers nationwide. It is also the No. 1 local exporter of paints in the Asia Pacific region, currently exporting to Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Palau, Papua New Guinea, and Vietnam.
